My Intro

I am writer – Hear me write.

I began my journey as a writer when I was 10 years old. I did not know then where this hobby would eventually lead me; all I knew was that I loved making up stories. Through the grace and inspiration of God, and the kindness of someone dear to me, I published my first children’s book A Father’s Promise in 2001.

At first, I believed that this made me an official writer. But what I have learned since that time is that I have always been a writer. The act of publishing something gave me an ISBN and a place in the Library of Congress, which is still amazing to me. But that was not what made me a writer – writing made me a writer.

Making your dream happen is not what makes your dream real – believing in it is. God blessed me with a beautiful gift and has allowed me to flourish. I used to think that I need multiple publications and accolades to prove that I made my dream come true.

What I have found is that every time I write, with every word and sentence and thought, I live my dream. I know that God has a plan for me, and I am thrilled at all that I will do for Him with this gift. But the big moments are not when we “make it” – we make it every day that we walk in our blessing from God. By His grace, I write. By His grace, I live my dream.
